September 6th 2023 - Summary of the most interesting stories in the past 48 hours on all things Covid, jab, climate, gender, and authoritarian related...
I spend so much time each day gathering information for articles and posts that it seemed silly not to compose a newsletter.
Below is a summary of all the most fascinating articles and information I’ve come across in the last 48hrs.
Summaries will be available to all for the remainder of this week and will then be paywalled (takes longer than you think).
Spot Of The Day:
Genius...
With Elon Musk roping in CEO Linda Yaccarino, who's buddy-buddy with the World Economic Forum, the platform's behaviour has shifted and not for the better. These days, "lawful but awful" accounts and those pesky external links (namely, Substack) are facing serious pushback. Oh, and those permanent suspensions? They're back in action, even though they were meant for illegal speech only.
BBC bosses are under pressure to explain why staff writers edited a report about a convicted paedophile to remove references to his career as a drag queen. Andrew Way, 61, who was organising the first Pride event for Welshpool, Montgomeryshire, was jailed for 34 months after vigilantes set up a fake social media profile for a boy of 14. The performer, whose stage name was Miss Gin, exchanged a string of sexual messages and images of his genitals with the teenage boy while pretending to be a 27-year-old man.
The Sun on Sunday revealed that Gendered Intelligence, criticised for conducting workshops for kids as young as 7, received a £94,847 grant this summer from the Labour London mayor. This grant aims to aid mentorship of individuals aged 11 to 24 about "gender and identity". The charity offers online sessions discussing medical and social transition and organises unique swim sessions where attendees can wear anything, provided they cover their bottom half. They also provide guidance on breast-binding, hormones, surgery, and emphasise that young people can change their name, pronouns, and title whenever they wish.
On August 27, the trans-idenitifed males, Johnson and Williamson, celebrated their first-place win at the xXx Racing-Athletic Relay Cross in Chicago. They raced as team "TS-ESTRODOLLS," likely referencing the female hormone estrogen. They outperformed 9 other women pairs to clinch the top spot. Williamson, 29, has been racing in women’s categories for several years, taking 18 first place titles in races across the country since 2017.
After the SNP established a strict Ulez-style system, traffic-related gas pollution in Glasgow's center increased by about 10%, according to official data. On Hope Street, known for its poor air quality, measurements from June to August this year showed nitrogen dioxide levels averaging 34 micrograms per cubic metre. This is a 9.7% increase from last year's 31 micrograms, measured before the city introduced its low emission zone (Lez). The legal limit stands at 40 micrograms.
A historian writing a biography of Prince Andrew learned that official documents about the Duke of York will remain secret until 2065. This secrecy follows a general rule: documents about royal family members stay closed for 105 years after their birth. Papers concerning the sovereign, the heir, and the second in line to the throne have a complete exemption from freedom of information requests. Thus, government departments can reject these requests without explaining their decision to the public.
U.S. Circuit Judge Don Willett wrote in the ruling, "The FDA can provide information, but it hasn't found any authority that allows it to advise consumers to 'stop' taking medicine." The FDA asserts that their posts offer no advice. In one brief, they described them as "informational statements" that "don't instruct consumers or anyone else to act or avoid certain actions."
Politicians and civil servants will not be questioned by the official “independent” investigation into Scotland’s response to the Covid pandemic until 2025, it was reported on Monday.
Last month, I covered some curious “coincidences” regarding a Scottish NHS whistleblower who applied to become a core participant in proceedings:
Covid Whistleblower Stomps On The Foot of the Scottish Establishment
Canadians using Meta’s platforms, Facebook or Instagram, could continue to be blocked from accessing news until after the next federal election – which could be anytime between now and October 2025. The move followed mainstream Canadian outlets’ complaints about losses in revenue, prompting Trudeau to step in to quash market competition. Some of my followers have already had a taste:
The pro-farmer populist party in The Netherlands, known for challenging the political establishment, has chosen Mona Keijzer, a former government minister dismissed for her stance against coronavirus passports, as their prime ministerial candidate.
