Thanks for this article and for alerting people to the issues.

Re: "Clocking in at 500 pages, Rishi Sunak’s Energy Act 2023 included a little-noticed provision allowing the government to remotely switch off electricity in homes that use smart meters and appliances."

I am interested in what is said in the Act and where.

I searched the Act at the above link for "switch" and "remote" but didn't find anything. The information at the link below says that: "Energy smart appliances can be switched on or off remotely but only if the consumer gives consent."

But in any case, I am mindful that our government once said (among other things) that "this [covid] vaccine will not be used for children"...
